1. Found in the World Wide Web: British man celebrates Christmas since 12 years

Would it not be nice when it could be Christmas every day? Andy Park from Wiltshire in southwest
England lives this dream since 12 years now. This means: each day he eats roasted turkey, he
watches Queen Elizabeth II’s annual Christmas message to the Commonwealth on video and he lays
presents under his own Christmas tree. You can read more about this crazy man on many websites,
here is one of them:

2. How to configure Windows startup entries in the Registry

When Windows starts, it checks for registry entries that allow the system to execute files and
programs together with it automatically. This so-called Windows startup can include drivers for
printers and other hardware, anti virus software, anti spyware tools or programs that you want to
use permanently. One problem is: viruses, spyware and adware often install such startup entries
additionally that allow them to be started automatically every time you turn on your computer
too. Another problem is that many programs do not delete their startup entries correctly when
they are uninstalled. For that case, booting time is extended because the system searches for
files that can not be found anymore.

To configure these startup entries, just click on ‘Start’-‘Run’ and enter ‘regedit’. The Registry
editor will be opened. Now you can select these Registry keys from the left side folder view:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run

On the right side you will see all startup entries with their names and the file that is opened
then. If you are sure that you do not want to have one of them anymore, you can delete it from
here, or if you want to change the path of the opened file, you can double-click the entry. But
please be careful, some of these entries are necessary to keep your system running correctly! So
it is suggested to export your Registry first, this feature can be found in the ‘File’ menu.

An easier way to configure the startup behaviour is the 1-abc.net Startup Organizer, which is in
fact much more than just a tool for this task, because it also allows you to add entries to files
and programs that should be started automatically one time per day, one time per week, every 10
minutes, all 5 days, every 20th of the month and so on. You can download a free 10 day trial
version from here:

3. Revolutionary quotes: Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan, 64-years old folk and rock music legend (‘Like a Rolling Stone’) once said what all of
us think from time to time: “Money doesn’t talk - it swears!“.
